Lamar County landowner Julia Trigg Crawford stands on her family's 650 acre farm near the Red River. For over seven months now the Crawfords have been in a legal battle over property rights with Transcanda. The Crawfords were awarded two restraining orders against TransCanada by local and appellate courts that were later dissolved regarding the proposed construction of the Keystone Pipeline across the family’s land. The jury trial appealing the condemnation is currently set for April 30th.
