U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Jay Michael Hoskins along with 3 other marines died Aug. 6, 2009, in Farah Province, Afghanistan, as the result of wounds sustained when his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb. His remains returned to Paris, Texas on Aug. 13, 2009 and he was laid to rest Aug. 15, 2009.
